HP Spectre x360 13T Review : An Excellent Laptop at Affordable Price

Demand for laptops has not constrict in any part of the technology market over the years. In line with the needs of the users, different laptop companies are adding great features to each other in the market. Despite the competition of various laptop brands over time, the American company HP (Hewlett-Packard) has still managed to hold the crown of the best in the market of laptops. Keeping in mind the demand, laptops like Chromebook, Notebook, ProBook, Pavilion, EliteBook, Spectre, NV, Woman etc have occupied the market. In a 2019 survey, HP ranks 1st place among all popular laptop brands (with 86/100 points). Today I will review an excellent laptop at affordable price HP Spectre x360 13T 2019 Laptop from the HP Spectre x360 series.

This laptop is ‘Two in One’, which will work like a laptop and again like a tablet. Useful laptops can be seen on the table or on the desk, from the very beginning of the creation of that laptop. But the HP Spectre x360 13T laptop can be used as a tablet, rotating at a 360 degree angle. Which makes it into the Travel Laptops category. HP Spectre x360 13T is getting many popular and good review for users as it can be used as a tablet.

1. Gorgeous design1. No left side charging
2. Thin bezel screen awesome2. Low quality webcam
3. Excellent keyboard and trackpad3. Expensive
4. Compact and solid frame

The HP Spectre x360 13T laptop goes straight from laptop mode to tablet mode, only by folding its screen. After folding, the laptop keyboard goes behind the laptop. Then here comes the issue of usability automatically. Although this feature has tried to bring in other brands, in most cases it has not been able to perform well.

But HP has successfully brought the feature under the Spectre series with a great design. So with lots of positive review the HP Spectre x360 13T laptop has gained a lot of popularity among the premium users’ list.

HP Spectre x360 13T Review

HP has introduced a new refreshed version of the Spectre series, which they call Gem Cut Design. That means there are diamond cut shaped designs on the laptop. The laptop is available at 13.3 “inches size. There is a matter of folding your hands and using tablet mode. So the 13.3 “inch display is very convenient to use. The laptop is available in Dark Navy Blue, Golden and Silver colors.

Let’s start with the keyboard. The laptop’s keyboard looks as good as it does in terms of performance. There is a backlit feature, which is very convenient for typing in low light or in the dark. Also the layout of the keyboard, the spacing is pretty good. The slick design of the buttons gives the keyboard a very classic look. And the rectangular touchpad is more useful than any square-size touchpad.

Apart from the modern design, the port has some innovation. On one side of the Gem Cut is a power button and on the other side a 3.0 USB port (Thunderbolt), which can be charged on a laptop. To the right of the body is another Thunderbolt 3 port, a 3.5mm. There is a headphone jack and a full size USB Type ‘A’ port on the left. The HP Spectre x360 13T laptop has two USB-C ports for charging and data, a drop-down USB connection for older devices and a microSD card slot. That is, you do not need to use a separate dongle when using a Spectre x360 laptop, though you may need one for Ethernet and HDMI. Like the previous models, the HP x360 had a power button and a USB-C port along the rear corner notch. It would have been nice to have one of the USB-C ports on the left side of the laptop, but you can charge it in both sides.

The back of the laptop has an air ventilation system, which will easily control the temperature of the laptop. Laptop users have a common complaint about sound, but the Spectra 13 has a B&O sound system, two on the keyboard and two on the bottom two, with four speakers in total. That may sound like sound in many cases.

Complimenting the full design of the HP Spectre x360 13T, the laptop has a metallic case perfection and its diamond cut and angular edges will set it apart from other laptops. The laptop looks just like the previous models of the HP Spectre series. However, the most aesthetic and major update is that the HP Spectre x360 13T model can be folded and used as a tablet, as many users have praised it and given positive review as to why it is needed.

Screen and Stylus

The first thing that comes to mind about the HP Spectre x360 13T is the laptop’s screen. This model has 90% display-to-body ratio and 78% of the previous model. The Spectre x360 laptop has a chunky bezels cleaver on the top and bottom of the 13.3-inch display. And the side bezels have a scalpel, which is slightly thinner. As a result, the laptop’s screen brings a different aesthetic to the laptop, and when taken lightly, it will feel like it is floating in the air.

The laptop has a stylus with this laptop for touch mode. It can be done with a great deal of notes, designs, drawings. It’s a lot like the Surface Book’s stylus. The gaming performance of the laptop is hardly a signifier. Even though Light Game Reasonable runs on the framerate, nothing great. Because Intel UHD 620 is not a gaming GPU. But graphics related work and editing can be done easily.

HP has always been working to meet the needs of its users. That’s why they have added a 4K OLED display to the Spectra X360 series in the Late version of 2019 on the market. HP also proved its responsibility to users by adding Microsoft Precision Drivers and Micro Bezels to the Tappad. So the HP Spectre x360 13T laptop is also going to get the title of Best Two in One Convertible Laptop in the market.

You can enjoy 1080p or 4K AMOLED touchscreen with the Spectre x360 laptop. You might be curious about the AMOLED aspect of that premium upgrade, but it will reduce your battery life. Our review team equipped with a 1080p screen, which is important enough for photo editing and HDR video streaming with HP Spectre x360 13T model. It also has Dolby Vision HDR and a somewhat longer 16:10 aspect ratio.

Security Features

The laptop also has the opportunity to have Hello-Compatible Facial Authentication and Hello-Compatible Finger Print Scanner Authentication. So, really, HP has added a lot of great features to this laptop in terms of security.

Also, HP’s signature feature ‘kill switch’ will provide additional security to the user. Because with this switch on, the power with the camera will be lost immediately. As a result there is no chance to hack webcam in any way. So you don’t have to worry about using stickers or tape on webcam for fear of getting hacked.

Performance & Battery life

In terms of performance, the Spectre x360 drivers provide fast service for everyday tasks, even after opening many tabs and software applications, which is much better than other laptops. Although Intel’s 10th Generation processor and Intel’s Iris Plus graphics card give enough power to play a few games like Overwatch, I had to lower the resolution to 720p to get closer to 60FPS. It’s not quite Impressive, but the Spectre x360 is perfect for playing very simple and slow-moving games like Minecraft and Disco Elysium.

The HP Spectre x360 13T works well in standard laptop mode, that is, on the table for everyday work, where you’ll spend most of your time. But if you want to watch Netflix or YouTube videos in bed all day, the ability to twist the screen around or fold like a tablet is very useful. It’s interesting and big enough to use as a tablet, but I feel the need to focus on this mood enough to read an article or ebook. If you don’t have a standard tablet, the Spectre x360’s screen is a lot more interesting and retina friendly for digital comics.

Compared to previous models, the HP Spectre x360 13T model has been able to reduce the weight of the laptop by 13%. It weighs 2.8 pounds, which is less than the MacBook Air and many other ultraportables laptops. The HP Spectre x360 13T laptop has added an IR camera for Windows Hello face authentication. The Spectre x360’s super-small camera is very sloppy and obscure, but it will give you the ability to slip on a small screen bezel. Now if you don’t fully trust the Windows Hello face authentication system, the Spectre x360 also has a fingerprint sensor, which works well.

The HP Spectre x360 13T laptop features wide edge-to-edge keyboard, with key-caps that are comfortable and user-friendly. Using it I get a lot of Microsoft’s Surface fillings. Spectre x360’s keyboard will give you the typing experience of PC users. But it doesn’t work like the ThinkPad keyboard, but provides a closer quality experience.

The laptop’s trackpad is sleek and accurate, though not as big as the latest premium devices from Apple and Dell. HP has eliminated the horrible Synaptics touchpad driver in its latest models and added the Precision driver, which works well. The touchpad will give a much more modern feel.

HP said that the Spectre x360 has a cooling relative design compared to previous models and will not overheat, although sound may sometimes sound like an overeager jet engine when playing heavy games or watching long videos. If you don’t play games, you can expect the laptop’s battery life to be solid and a little longer. It’s one of the most stylish ultraportable laptops we’ve seen in terms of powerful hardware and usability.

More Laptops that will suit you

HP Spectre Series Laptop x360 13T is a nice and stylish laptop. For many years, HP has been refining the laptop in this series. With the Thin bezel screen it looks fantastic and offers powerful hardware.
